I just entered the tinker association together with my flatmate Gera.
It's way different than I expected. Everything is clean and neat. Not a place where everybody is walking around dirty, because they are busy.
A properly dressed man greets us.
At his body, there are a bunch of small metallic objects attached.
He touches my arm.
I don't know what he's talking about.
Suddenly it's getting cold at the position where he touches me.
It feels like I'm freezing.
I already think I might like it here.
Was this actual magic?
It's pretty close to magic, but it's real.
It's just machines and tools. Much more tangible.
Gera leaves, and I follow the man.
Most rooms are clean. And electical devices are standing around everywhere, partially unfinished ones, but also some I know from my home.
But some rooms look like repair shops. They're still rather clean, but that's closer to what I had in mind.
While we're walking around, he tries to explain me something.
He explains me about electrons traveling through metal.
I only understand parts of it.
I realize how few I really know about the world.
I didn't even know about atoms before.
He also tries to explain me some common tools I use on a daily basis, but I already know, this will be too complicated for me.
I go to different people tinkering on some devices.
It's fun to watch them. I ask them what they work on and they tell me something.
Most of the tools really seem useful. Maybe I should buy some of them myself.
Especially a travel stove seems useful. Or an electric knive. But maybe I'm just hungry. I should have eaten more this morning.
When it's getting late, I go to Gera.
She seems very busy welding something.
I could wait for her, but she probably will still need a longer time.
So I decide to go home already.
I say goodbye to everyone and leave the building again.
It's dark already, so Nea must be at home.
On my way home, I meet the guy from yesterday.
The guy leaves again and I'm standing there alone.
I wonder if I should go home or if I should visit the magic association to look for Nea.
But he must have been exaggregating about him.
He seemed a little drunk already.
When I reach home, Nea actually isn't there yet.
But I really need some sleep after their talks about cables and electrons and voltage and complex numbers.
He will come home eventually.
As I'm lying in bed, I'm reading throgh the list or courses.
I need to find a nice place tomorrow.
The fighting association sounds fun.
It can't be more complicated than this.
Tomorrow I'll definitely go there.
Looks like I have to get up early. But it's not that late, and I'm already about to fall asleep, so this shouldn't be a problem.
Luka visits the tinker association with his roommate Gera, where he is introduced to pretty modern technology.
It seems complicated, but it's pretty exciting.
The leader of this association also is pretty interesting.
Something about him is special.
